RENEWABLE ENERGY
UI-RESEARCH FOUNDATION is supporting Experts from disciplines including Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Agricultural technology, Forest Resource Management, Petroleum engineering, Agronomy and Geology working together to build upon renewable energy projects that produced 15 KW power with a grant from MacArthur Foundation and UI- Research Foundation. The project will scale up the indigenous technology to harness the renewable energy in sun, wind, tidal waves and biogas/biomass to generate electricity for rural areas, farming communities and inner city. The project will promote the establishment of decentralized cost effective and environmentally friendly energy supply that can bring food security and economic boost to farming.
